Friends of the Fox is a non-profit organization which was formed in December 1996 right after the Fox Theatre was closed. The grass roots group came together with a goal of acquiring, restoring and reopening the Fox as a performing arts venue. That goal was met November 20, 1999 when the beautifully restored theatre was reopened at a gala evening featuring Marvin Hamlisch.
However, the renovation is far from complete. Another $500,000 is still needed to provide the essential lighting and sound systems, a stage fly system, electrical and other behind-the-scenes needs to make the Fox a fully-functioning theater. A number of potential shows have been lost because of lack of equipment.
Friends of the Fox is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible.

How do I use my S.H.A.R.E.S. Card?
•When you receive your S.H.A.R.E.S. Card, take it to Save Mart Supermarkets, FoodMaxx, or S-Mart Foods.
•Give the card to the cashier and tell him that you want to add value (dollars) to your S.H.A.R.E.S. Card. The cashier will quickly load the money on your card, and you may then use your card to purchase groceries.
•OR… You may add money at the time you purchase your groceries. Once the cashier has rung up your grocery purchase, before you pay, simply tell the cashier you want to put the amount owed for your groceries on your S.H.A.R.E.S. Card. The cashier will handle everything.

PICA
The Fox Theatre is registered non-profit organization in Premier Color Graphics' PICA Points Program. PICA, or Printing Incentives for Community Assistance, works very simply. Premier contributes four percent of every sale over $100 to the program - two percent goes back to the customer, and two percent goes to the customer's designated non-profit organization. Customers can also designate all four percent to their chosen non-profit.
