About Us:
The Visalia Fox Theatre is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization operated by the Visalian Friends of the Fox Theatre – a non-profit organization that was formed in December 1996 to acquire, restore and reopen the theatre as a performing arts venue.
The theatre first opened its doors in February 1930. The theatre was built by William Fox of Fox West Coast Theatres and designed by Los Angeles architects Floyd Stanbery and Clifford Balch. The theatre has an East Indian Theme inside, including a giant genie that is above the proscenium arch and to the sides of the stage are temple pagodas. Above the theatre floor is painted a gorgeous blue to represent the evening sky with twinkling lights.
